We LOVE what we do here at The MailRoom! We help people get their special items from here to the destination by sending packages across the street, across the country and all around the world We ship care packages to soldiers, papier mache sculptures, framed original oil paintings, household goods, antique china sets and antique clocks of all sizes…just to name a few. We have even shipped a boat! Our team is always on top of what items may be prohibited to send to a given country at the time as well as keeping track of service disruptions due to weather, governmental regulations, natural disasters and other events.
Don’t have a box for your item? No problem! You don’t have to have a box when you send from The MailRoom. Bring us the item(s) you want sent out and we will find the right size box for you. When necessary for special items such as televisions, computers, antique coffee presses and more, we will create a custom box just for that item. Pieces that require being double boxed are done so in a way that maximizes protection for your item.
The MailRoom was established in 1985 in the Idle Hour Shopping Center as the first mail and parcel store in Lexington, KY. We ship to anyone virtually anywhere in the world!
In June 2001, Lenora “Len” Costanzo and Kelly Davis purchased the company and in 2004 moved the store to the Woodhill Circle Plaza Shopping Center on New Circle Road. The mission beginning with the founding in 1985 has always been simple – provide superior customer service while making any packing and shipping needs easy for all our customers while continually evolving in order to offer the services our customers need. In the beginning days the MailRoom had a Travel Agent Service, Insurance Agent Service, Answering Service, Typing Service and even a Dating Service. Things have definitely changed since the mid 80’s, but we continue to offer variety of services outside of ordinary parcel and mail.
